Pèpè is a children’s shoe brand shaped by a family story and a very specific place: Vigevano, Italy, long known for its shoemaking tradition. The name began in 1966, when Erideno Pizzetti trademarked “Pèpè,” inspired by the playful sound children make when talking about shoes.
In the 1980s, his son Dario Pizzetti joined the workshop and continued building the brand with the same focus on making shoes locally and properly. Then, in the late 1990s, Paola joined and brought a new rhythm to the brand by developing seasonal collections. This is when the Pèpè we know today truly took shape: handcrafted children’s shoes, made with tradition, but designed with a modern eye.
Pèpè is not a brand built around trends. It’s built around know-how. The kind that comes from making shoes over and over again, understanding how leather behaves, how a shoe should hold, and how it should feel after a long day.
This heritage is still present in the way Pèpè designs and produces its shoes today.
Pèpè shoes are designed and handcrafted in Italy. The focus is on quality of construction and materials, with the intention that children can move freely and comfortably.
Pèpè shoes are made to be worn, not saved. They’re designed for movement and everyday life, with a balance of softness, structure, and comfort.
Grounded. Reliable. Easy to live in.
Pèpè carries something real.
You can feel that it comes from a family workshop and a long craft tradition, not from a marketing story. The shoes are made with care, they sit well on the foot, and they hold up to daily life.
Pèpè is classic without feeling stiff. It’s simply well done. And that’s exactly why it was important for us to represent them at The Singing Toes.
